Hotel das Amoreiras
by Marie Ewelina
— A secluded, peaceful oasis tucked between the trees with bright daylight and subtle hues pervading the rooms.

Standing in the gorgeous garden in the historic Praça das Amoreiras, the independently owned 19-room hotel is both a haven for guests and the linchpin of the locals passing by. While guests decompress and peruse the menu, locals are equally inclined to swing by for a cup of coffee or drink in the open-aired seclusion of the hotel’s courtyard.
The well-appointed rooms and suite feature stylish decor, luxurious amenities, and an abundance of natural light that fills the space. Whether you choose a cozy room or indulge in a spacious suite, each accommodation is designed with your comfort in mind, offering a serene place to unwind after a day of exploration.
With keen attention to detail, owner and founder Pedro Oliveira wanted to ensure that this place on entering feels like home, as though guests are staying in the apartment of the hotel’s well-travelled owner. From designing furnitures to adorning its personnal collection of paintings and works of art, it would be natural to find the influences and inspiration he has fallen in love with over the years. Perhaps the most important one is a painting by his father that has been with him for many years, across many homes and many countries, and is now settled in the entrance hall of the hotel.
This boutique-hotel captures the essence of Portuguese hospitality, seamlessly blending modern comforts with traditional elegance. A secluded, peaceful oasis tucked between the trees with bright daylight and subtle hues pervading the rooms, Hotel das Amoreiras greets with you an ambiance that exudes warmth and comfort.
